We represent community development finance institutions (CDFIs), and they provide loans and support to people who find it difficult to access finance from the commercial banks.

Most of our members offer loans to small and medium businesses, with many specialising in ‘micro finance’ to businesses with less than 10 employees. Some of our members specialise in finance for social enterprises, community groups and voluntary organisations. And a small number offer affordable personal loans to people with a poor credit rating.
