The cdfa / Events / Member networks

Member networks

Network meetings are coordinated to provide members with opportunity to meet, discuss, share information, strategies and challenges.

These meetings allow members and the CDFA a forum to better understand opportunities and issues and, to collectively implement best practice and successful initiatives in their respective areas. The meetings are also an opportunity to network with peers, explore potential for joined up working both with the CDFA and fellow members, and find out about current CDFA activities.

We are running a free ‘network meeting’ for members the day before our 2015 annual conference, which we plan to be the first of an ongoing programme of networking meetings aimed at frontline staff. It will be an opportunity to share good practice, learn and discuss with peers.

CDFA network meeting

Date: Wednesday 4th March 2015

Location: Grand Connaught Rooms, 61-63 Great Queen Street, London WC2B 5DA

Time: 12:30 – 3:30pm

The first meeting will focus on lending practices, explore the development of common CDFI portfolio terms and also include an opportunity to network over lunch. Our sector currently uses different methodologies and terms to describe and report on loan portfolio quality. We would like to improve consistency – for example to make it easier for investors to adequately analyse the creditworthiness of a CDFI and thus increase potential access to new capital.

We want to develop these meetings with you and anticipate agendas will appeal to different frontline staff. As such, future meetings, topics, frequency and structure are also something we will explore on the day. We recommend that the attendee’s role covers finance, lending and/or operations, there is capacity for one place per member. Please RSVP your confirmation of attendance to membership@cdfa.org.uk with any dietary requests by 20th February.

We look forward to seeing you soon.
